Jan 20, 2012 Upcoming releases
If everything goes as planned, Die Schwarzen Ladas will release a two song single in few months. We have already half baked songs waiting for the fine tuning and parts of our sick band member. A couple of people heard the news tunes in the recording studio and they were thrilled! You will love the new songs!
Jan 19, 2012 Lada TV
Die Schwarzen Ladas will be the music guest in the Finnish national broadcast company's show 'Puoli seitsemän' in one-two weeks. TV group filmed how we composed a new song in front of the cameras. Song became a bit weird but it's actually not as bad as you could imagine. Imagine yourself playing and composing a complex song out of your head in one take while there are cameras and mics everywhere staring at you! It was a crazy, unusual idea but we had a lot of fun to make it!
Jan 16, 2012 Gig cancelled
We're deeply sorry but we are forced to cancel our debut gig because one of us is sick. Time & place of the new gig will be informed as soon as we can confirm it.
Dec 15, 2011 Greetings from the studio!
We're recording our second album. This is going to be huge! Idea for the new album was born when Udo woke up in the afternoon, made morning coffee and began to jam with acoustic guitar. He composed the whole A side of the new album while watching coffee calming down in front of his nose. After 31 minutes Udo had to stop before coffee got too cold.
Now we're working very hard to make the new song sound as good as possible - no matter how much time it will take! Our goal is to go back to the roots of progressive rock - to bands like Genesis, Jethro Tull, Yes and naturally Pink Floyd. Now, 40 years later, it's too easy to overproduce songs using computer's unlimited resources to create a massive wall of sound. We try to keep focus in performance and catchy tunes. There are good chances we fail because it's easy to get crazy in studio seeing all the possibilities...
